WHAT

This new membership, a sub-category of ISI Professional membership, is the ideal option for high school skaters who are interested in teaching in group lesson programs at their home rink.

WHO

Applicant must be 14-17 years old

 

The ISI office will verify that the applicant is currently teaching (or will be) in the group lesson program at their facility.

 

A background check and U.S. Center for SafeSport certification is not required since a junior instructor is a minor.

 

 

 

A JUNIOR INSTRUCTOR:

CAN continue to test and compete on their own without a skater membership.

CAN test skaters (Delta level & below) within the group class program. However, a Professional member (or the skating director) must be the one registering the tests with the ISI national office.

CAN NOT judge at ISI competitions. (An ISI judge must be at least 18 years old.)

WILL receive Accident insurance

Membership fee/term – $45/ Sept. 1 – Aug. 31

Note: Junior Instructor members will be eligible to purchase General Liability (GL) insurance beginning at the age of 16 (if required by the rink/club/school). A background check and U.S. Center for SafeSport certification are required if adding GL insurance.
